President Ruto Mourns the Passing of Mama Anne Nanyama




Kenya is mourning the passing of Mama Anne Nanyama, the beloved mother of Speaker Moses Wetang’ula and Westlands MP Timothy Wanyonyi. In a heartfelt message on December 20, 2024, President William Ruto paid tribute to Mama Nanyama, describing her as a “progressive, responsible, and caring woman who raised upright children.”

The President extended his condolences to the family, friends, and the people of Bungoma during this difficult time. "Our condolences to Speaker Moses Wetang’ula and Mheshimiwa Timothy Wanyonyi for the loss of your dear mother. May God grant comfort to the family, friends, and the people of Bungoma at this sad time. Rest in Peace, Mayi Nanyama," President Ruto posted on his X account (formerly Twitter).
